Perhaps this is a generational phenomenon

I do not wholly agree with everything any human says; and that includes my church leaders. It’s ok to have an opinion that differs. In fact it’s probably healthy to have some differences. Everything is a matter of perspective and personal experience

Now, if someone says that abusing children is ok; we will probably have a pretty physical altercation
