During grade school we were sorted and identified. The standardized testing was not to track learning progress, it was used to identify the useful idiots. Those people got the scholarships and the “prestigious school” acceptance.
Do you ever wonder why that is? I can’t figure that out about myself. I mean, sometimes I find it scary that I “know” so much more than most people alive. Nothing super intelligent, just going down rabbit holes and learning things that most people would find ludicrous. It’s really a burden, but this time I’m pretty sure it has saved my life

Joke’s on them, I had useful idiot test scores (everything above 95th percentile) but have been a nonconformist since I was born.

It truly is a burden. You cannot “go back” once you know what we know. Now it’s a matter of waiting and hoping that the people in our lives catch up.
