I apologize for taking a statement worded in a way I am used to meaning " shoveling money at things in a hope to feel better about myself " while trying to make the point that doing that only enriches people that have set up businesses to take advantage of the impulse and steered public opinion about it with weepy commercials using focus-group proven language and images.
