I'm not into film editing, but am a graphic designer.... I'm pretty sure thats not how it fully works, you can't just reveal the green suits just by bring up the saturation levels on green channel only.

Additional they'll overlapping parts of the film that would have already been recut and spliced and rendered with the cgi footage
