Don't fully trust Musk, but he definitely has the opportunity and knowledge to continue to shake up these markets. He also has a history of working with or for government contracts, for example SpaceX. So it wouldn't be like he would block the USG/DOD from having the same degree of access as they likely have now on international to US based comms. Unsure that we the deplorables would see much change on that front. The free speech angle though, well we will see what comes from an inevitable Tesla/Musk sponsored smartphone.
