Living abroad in a rural area in the Philippines, I watched the children raise the Philippines flag, recite their pledge, sing the national anthem, and recite the pledge. NOT a single child didn't have a look of pride and joy on their faces.

The removal of these things has led to the unpatriotic youth we see today.
