I just ordered a 1947 Webster's Complete Reference.

I saw that someone a week ago or so had posted their 1949 edition. I decided I wanted a reference book from before the hard propaganda of modern times. 35 bucks after shipping and tax. I'm looking forward to getting it and doing some research. This will also probably jump-start a vintage book collecting addiction

I grew up learning out of one of those old Websters. Complete with alternate languages in the back and maps of the world.
