A Financial Times report indicated that Florida lawmakers are working closely with DeSantis’ office to give Disney back their special tax privileges and allow them to administer their parks with a private government called the Reedy Creek Improvement District. The reinstatement of CEO Bob Iger over Disney is allowing the company to exploit Florida taxpayers once more, and DeSantis is apparently happy to go along with this.
“What I can say [is] the state of Florida has been important to us for a long time and we have been very important to the state of Florida,” Iger said. “That is something I’m extremely mindful of and will articulate if I get the chance.”“The special district is scheduled to dissolve on June 1, ‘23. There is NO reason for a compromise with Disney. The only amendment needed is requiring Reedy Creek to have a “winding down” plan to pay down its remaining debt. Instead, Disney will likely get 99.9% of its power back,” Sabatini wrote in a Tweet.
DeSantis’ bark is much worse than his bite. Expect more capitulations as he readies for a likely presidential run in 2024, as DeSantis needs to satiate the globalist donor class that is set to fuel his grand ambitions.
Different article 👉👉Governor DeSantis does not make “U-turns.” The governor was right to champion removing the extraordinary benefit given to one company through the Reedy Creek Improvement District. We will have an even playing field for businesses in Florida, and the state certainly owes no special favors to one company. Disney’s debts will not fall on the taxpayers of Florida. A plan is in the works and will be released soon.

It's hard to go against DisneyWorld, that cesspit unfortunately counts for a YYUUUGGGGEEE portion of the tourist $$$ that keeps FL afloat. It's a black spot on DeSantis for sure, but it's not worth jumping the gun on this YET.
He just got 500k new families to move to Florida. The tax revenue for that alone would supplement some or more of the revenue loss.
Disney can't leave Florida anyway. The fuckers would prob go bank rupt trying to set up shop anywhere else, especially with their bad PR and their stock sucking asshole. Imo anyway
You know why we can't get Constitutional Carry in FL? The mere possibility that some people might stop coming to FL and spending their money here terrifies a LOT of people. FL needs to gain it's agricultural foothold again before anyone will entertain a "fuck tourist's feelings stance.
Obviously, its too soon to know how this particular story will turn out but obviously, the more people who are paying attention the better.
Anyone who has researched Ron knows that on national/international issues he's a pre Trump Establishment Conservative Republican packaged for normies as MAGA lite ie a Rubio back when Rubio was pretending to be part of the Tea Party in order to win votes.
As a side note, those behind branding then marketing Ted Cruz and Eye Patch McCain Crenshaw are now working on Rons team.
According to the governor’s office, this is fake news.
I hope your correct friend ! Also of smoke & mirrors lately!

The fact the MSM is reporting this is enough to prove it’s a fake story.
I hope so !
I do NOT share this method tor determining what is true or not true. Currently, I'm filing this under "interesting enough to keep an eye on".
DeSantis for Florida's Governor for another 4 years? Yes. De Santis for President in 2024? NOPE.
This is bullshit.

Cheers to that my friend. TN here and we do what we want in that regard.
Fake news I’m sure…
"I'm sure".
Why " sure"?
Feels over research and reals?
