If you're from England or Canada, it is spelled grey. Americans generally spell grey with an "a", although I have always spelled it with an "e". Grey with an "a" just doesn't look right to me!

In college we had a student named ray that was gay. We called him 'gay Ray'. Perhaps we should have just shortened it to calling him 'G(r)ay'. kek
