I believe the "stock market" was set up as a way for the idiots to actually throw their money away, giving it to those "in charge," as well as those who actually are "in charge" behind the scenes. Yeah, some will make a profit; some will actually make a killing, but the ones really making money, well... you don't hear about those people. It's the same with lotto.
