I wonder if Meaghan realises that their children if they divorce will come under the care of the Monarch. Because they are heirs to the throne, this law was introduced around the time of the abdication of King Edward. I don’t believe Charles will remain on the throne much longer, so William will become King. Archie their child is 6th in line. I would imagine that any separation would see Harry return to England, along with their children.
As I live in a Commonwealth country, we get to hear about these things more than most in other countries. When Charles and Diana divorced, they could only see the boys 40 days each every year. When they attended Boarding School, they didn’t live with either parent but lived with the Queen. Remember where they were when Diana was killed? They were with the Queen in Scotland, not with their parents and the Queen remained there not wanting to return to London saying they wanted to protect the boys, but the Brits demanded she return to London and address a grieving nation.
Legislation passed during the reign of George I. It was known as The Grand Opinion for the Prerogative Concerning the Royal Family and it was about the King’s control over the education, the raising and the marriage of his grandchildren. That law is still in place.
I thought they were “separated”.

I believe they are under subject to that law, and have been since birth. The Queen and now King have not chosen to enforce that.
....I don't think the children matter as much to her as her financial statement....
I agree. It’s strange that you never see them.
