There is no sending information "back" through time. The quantum tunneling effects are not really a process, but a way for particles to be in places they were not supposed to be. They didn't "get there." They were, in a quantum-mechanical sense, already there to begin with.

Only forward, which is the way time works. Quantum tunneling does not permit the impossible.
