I feel bad that this man was clearly troubled. There was likely something else going on either in their relationship or in his life to force him into this kind of drastic action over « one bad night. »
But something in this story does not add up.
Think whatever you’d like of me. I don’t think I’m above receiving criticisms. But I also don’t make edits like the one you added after your well-formed argument tsk-tsking people for posting things I don’t agree with. I simply don’t comment.
As for your comment about handpicking musicians, Disney normally has massive casting calls for their parades and performers. They do not single musicians or performers out through separate procedures, unless there’s a really good reason to do so, or something not great is occurring. I know this because, as part of high school band, they told us their entire audition process for musicians as well as characters.
The public hiring policy is that they always have a mass casting call.
If this was just a family tragedy, I don’t think the NY Post would still be reporting on it. Nor would they be drawing attention to his father’s role with what is arguably one of the trademarks of the Disney parks—the music. But that’s just me.
