Speaking from the perspective of a WV voter, I will not be voting for him in 2024. I did not vote for him in 2020. I don’t think he has a chance unless he changes parties. I’m not sure if going to Independent would be enough. The elections in WV that I’ve seen seem to mostly be about 70-30 or 65-35 in favor of the Republicans. Manchin did not win by much in 2020. I’ve wondered how much cheating was involved in his re-election. They cheat to get school board people elected so I’m sure there was some to get him back in.
He should have done so before she did.
Why? He has more leverage to get all of the goodies he wants. The dude's in everything for himself and WVA. If he switches to R, all of that goes poof.
He should switch to independent too ... It'd be fucking hilarious if both decide to not vote for majority leader.
Manchin sat with the Republicans for at least one State Of The Union, He should either go Indy Or Republican, now. They would both be kingmakers if they pull this off.
