Becket Cook, a formerly gay man was involved in the fashion industry for 20 years. He was a set designer and hob-knobbed with the likes of Kanye and Oprah.
One day while at an outdoor café with a companion, a group of Christians sat down at the table next to them. Becket and his companion, also gay, had never seen people reading and discussing the bible. A conversation was struck up and eventually Becket and his friend asked the Christians what they thought of the gay lifestyle. The Christians said they believed it was a sin. That was perhaps his first serious step toward Christ.
Becket renounced his gay lifestyle, became a devout and devoted Christian and even went to seminary. He has a youtube channel where he interviews many of those formerly in his field or field adjacent, who are now themselves Christians.
Here he is discussing the recent disastrous and pernicious ad campaign by Balenciaga from his insider’s point of view. I found this an excellent video. I watched it at 1.75 speed and was able to understand everything perfectly. There is something so warm and so real and so full of loving kindness about this man. I highly recommend watching him.
