I'm no doctor, but pretty sure that hospitals don't issue fentanyl for traumatic injuries. Dilaudid IV is usually the go to. Her injuries, while bad, do not seem to be severe enough for that level of "pain relief". They OD'd her intentionally is what it looks like.
Interesting. I fell down stairs separated my shoulder, broke 3 ribs and punctured a lung and all they gave me was dilaudid or Demerol. Don’t remember - was high AF. Fall caused by sleepwalking on ambien XR. They did use fentanyl and versed on me when I got stented.

My husband fell off a ladder and broke some ribs and they gave him Fentanyl. Not saying the Heche thing isn't what we think but just FYI.
