That's the international part.....I am not defending them by ANY means but just want to be sure that we're objecting to that behavior in our own towns.
Union membership in a volunteer organization? Bullshit . If only people would dig around . Did you know that many (help) organisations have CEOs that are paid over the top salarys. Like the SPCA, gets 750000 per year, and they spend millions on commercials that show starving, freezing animals to pull your heart strings , it all is a money grab. CEO of red cross makes 200000 plus bonuses.
It's astonishing how rotten these charities were.
Is anyone else observing a collective giving fatigue? I noticed that even on the left there is a sense of "you give to one candidate and fifty others hit you up". I'm convinced that ActBlue and WinRed are both being white-hat influenced at some level because their marketing techniques are clearly counter-productive in the long haul.
All the nuance and subtlety the cabal used to have is gone. To me it is clear that even though there are no public arrests, they are very much not in full physical control of their operations.
I walk past them and will not donate to them. I said to one of the fund raisers last year that as the SA hates white straight males I would not donate to a racist organization. He was at a loss for words.
I will never give a dime to a group that wants me to apologize for being born White.
My husband was a defence lawyer in court nearly every day. Also at court was the Captain of the Salvation Army in our city, there to offer guidance, etc. to the accused. Husband was hospitalized for two weeks with an illness and every day when I would visit him that Captain would come and visit him too. I thought how nice and thoughtful of him to do so. Once my husband was back at work the Captain contacted him and asked to borrow $16,000.00 to buy a camper trailer.

This is the first year that I have not seen the Kettles around here. I'm taking a drive to a more liberal area to find out.
In this instance, please don't judge individual chapters based upon how the headquarters behaves! My daughter works in a mid-west division as a district volunteer coordinator, and just today she held an event in which over 80 volunteers ( of all races and ages, she sent me a video of it) where packing up huge boxes of food to be delivered to hundreds of needy families in the area for their Christmas dinner....it even included a coupon for the protein of choice! It also included food items to get them through the time when kids are on winter break! It was a event filled with prayer, compassion and servitude as most of these volunteers, including my daughter have felt the burden of inflation YET they all realize they are still extremely blessed and need to be there to help others! And by others....I MEAN ALL OF HUMANITY REGARDLESS OF RACE!!!! Thanks for understanding my point!
It's too bad they don't realize they can (and should) separate themselves from HQ and still do good work. Instead they continue to associate with this evil insanity.

In most ways I believe that my daughter's division is separated from HQ! In fact, I had no idea of the woke behavior of the SA prior to this article! I have not seen, heard or felt any issues of race being overt within this diverse company, and neither has my daughter (I pointed out this article to her and she was equally as shocked)! Her comment..... " I refuse to become cynical when it comes to helping those in need! I can only control my own thoughts and actions, and for now I know this is where God has called me to serve"! She recently turned down a higher paying position with another non-profit! My personal feelings? I abhor racism and wokeness, and pray the actions of my daughter and the hundreds of those who work along side her, truly make a impact upon anyone who would embrace this sickening ideology.....clearly the mindset of HQ has had zero influence in THIS chapter, and hopefully many others!
The only way I would support a local chapter would be if they publicly denounce HQ’s woke position and apologize on their behalf. Everyone needs to stand up to tyranny, especially if they are Christian. Show the world that they are not cowards and have faith in Christ.
That article is 2021. Are they still doing that crap? I saw such a sign at their place locally last year but I haven't been out much to see if it is still there.
I made some small coupons last year that said: "redeemable for One White NON-Apology....in lieu of Cash Donation." At the bottom it says, "Go woke, go broke."
Never got to distribute them, was sick for awhile. Will hand them out at the kettles this year.
Bell ringer by me, I've known him as a bell ringer for like 10 years saw me last week and said "hey good to see you! I was not here during the pandemic, and this is my first year back since then". I said oh, good to see you, but unfortunately I will not be donating to the SA. He said "really why?" I told him about the woke shit and how they want me to apologize for being white. He said "What?! I never heard that, so I pulled it up on my phone to show him. He was visibly saddened, and I wished him a Merry Christmas and went on my way. Today I went to the same grocery store where he's been for over 10 years and the bell ringer was a kid, not him. I asked where did the other guy go (not going to use his name), and he said "oh he quit last week" so I'm doing this location now.
It's a shame. Hopefully you can all find another way this year. There are plenty of local church and business around me, so I'm fortunate that redirecting is easy.
