If you think any of that is true, you are mistaken, and have been fooled by the massive propaganda campaign that includes a Hollywood movie.
The man has consistently denied everything, yet the well has been so poisoned that his trial was railroaded, and so that the prison even changed the name of his mother to that which was promulgated in the damned movie, so that he could not talk to her anymore, because the prison refused to recognize her actual name.

The real crime that went on was that he was extradited from Thailand to the USA - a Russian citizen. This set the precedent for Assange to be arrested. Governments realized that one could arrest any citizen, of any country, in any part of the world, and on charges that did not have to be true. Why do you think they made that movie?
I’ve never seen the movie. I base my claims off of research and not what Hollywood or any other garbage deep state funded psyop puts out especially someone who has connections to terrible individuals.

He was falsely imprisoned - so a prison sentence means nada. Do you think Jesus was guilty because he was crucified? They caught him, so it must be true? Maybe where there is smoke there must be fire? So Jesus must have been at least, in some respect, guilty? Not saying Bout is Jesus, just drawing parallels by stating that prisoners are not necessarily guilty.
Where is the proof that Bout 'killed Americans"? There isn't any. There was even no proof during the trial - it was a show trial.
He was a business-man with a Military background who spoke many languages - very sus, I am sure.
In the movie, it is claimed that he was to have traded over 300 tanks to African countries. As he points out - that is impossible - some border guard would be sure to notice. He had to leave a country, with a passport, and then enter another country, while shipping enormous mountains of goods. You think that people are stupid, or maybe he had sooo much money that he hired private army carriers, landing in unmanned airstrips (yeah right, governments totally do not have border guards at airstrips), and paid everyone off, including casual observers? If he had sooo much money, he could have retired with his wife and parents, and would not have needed to do hugely illegal, and dangerous things. He was in Thailand to do business, BECAUSE he needed to make money, not spend it on private military aircraft, clandestine airstrips, bribing border guards, and even tourists.
No this stinks to high heaven.
But, (((they))) needed to railroad him, so that international extradition could be a thing - leading to the arrest of Assange - oh yeah, that dangerous individual. At the time, I was outraged that Americans were now arresting foreign nationals in foreign countries - it is against all international laws.
Bonus - they got a Russian, to add to the proofs that all Russians = le bad. < The extradition is what is the real issue, not the supposed arms dealing that BTW Ukraine is heavily involved in, but is given a blind eye. The Arms dealing was a huge stinky lie to distract everyone, that they had to embellish with a damned MOVIE. By the time his trial was up, everyone had seen the movie, and believed everything that was force-fed to them. Arms-dealing is bad and therefore we must crucify this bad, bad individual.
