Occultists, writers, and occultic writers have reasonably postulated (from a myopic point of view) that Christianity is based in lies and that it actually uses far more ancient occultic pagan symbols, names, and concepts, obscured by the knowledge gap between the "profane" and the "initiate", and that in the modern example of Christianity the practices performed are actually ancient occultic rituals.
While I think that it is partly true, that Christ/Chrestos is not a term specifically for Yeshua and comes from Oracleist temple initiate tradition and that modern Christianity does use pagan rites and older concepts, I offer a rebuttal to the idea that it nullifies the sacrifice of Yeshua to take away the sins of the world.
I think that rather than the salvation of Christ being a lie because of the usage of pagan symbols in it's practice, it's actually the opposite, in that it's actually Yeshua's sacrifice using worldly (the world being the domain of Satan) symbols so that salvation from sin through Yeshua's sacrifice can manifest itself in those who profanely use said symbols and rites.
It is a fulfillment of Yeshua's practice on Earth of dining with Tax Collectors and Sinners. That is; it brings the healing to the sick who by their fleshly nature will always be partially dominated by the symbols of the world. Rather than nullifying it, it confirms that all can be saved from sinful nature.
For as far as I can tell, it is the only religion that dictates necessarily that one depart from sin, that there are codified acts of evil that can be and must be departed from.
Other religions talk about various states of enlightenment but make no effort to document the state of said enlightenment, or equate it with a specific set of rules of "goodness", and thus make no effort to dictate specific rules of "badness".
It is thus through the handing down of the Commandments to Moses that Israel's people were "chosen". Not by birthright or geneaology, over which many wars have been fought, but simply by the act of providing them with the "rules of goodness" which have formed the backbone of the healthier aspects of our profane society.
Thus, Christianity is the religion of becoming one with the Father by departing from sin, which uses ancient worldly symbols to appeal to the nature of the flesh, so that the flesh can open the door to the spirit.
Other religions practiced by the Egyptian/Masonic/Crowlean/Osirian sects see a unification of opposites into a third state of being as the door into enlightenment, but that enlightenment is the false enlightenment offered by the serpent to Eve, the knowledge of good AND evil synthesized into a being who thinks that they can now become God (the third state of being). This state of being is an ilusion, as the human is dominated by the World, the World is dominated by Satan, and Satan is dominated by God. God has no boundaries and is a law unto Himself.
Many will try lead you from the path of Yeshua and thus God, and will use such discussions to lead your mind into arguing against God, Yeshua the Messiah, and ultimately lead you into seeking gnosis elsewhere in avenues that do not conform to the core tenet of "Sin no more".
It is this core tenet that they tempt you into betraying. And as flesh dominated by the world, our viewpoint and ability to reason is limited, thus arguments that seem intellectual will often completely miss the spiritual core of it all in "Sin no more" and "Forgiveness for Sins already committed".
I've been thinking about this all morning in one form or another, and would like to discuss it with all of you. Debate and discussion is encouraged.
Question: To the best of YOUR knowledge, are there other religions and spiritual practices that necessitate the departure from sin?
