Matthew 7:22-23
[22] On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ [23] And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
I know many conservatives who fall into the trap of a bad guy (according to”conspiracy theorists” like Rockefeller's) who donated to good churches, providing “necessary” worship equipment (albeit pews, pipe organs, buildings, or anything else). That means NOTHING compared to the damage they done. Don’t think because they gave charitably to an actually good organization or a good cause, that it eliminates the damage that they did. The bad far outweighs the good (speaking in earthly terms). The good they did had its own selfish desires, though those things may have been used for God’s glory (in the end).
No deals for these A-holes.
This is the most frightening passage in the Bible, it should cause the unbelievers to squirm away. It is a warning to the believer, and most importantly, it is truth. Take comfort in knowing that God knows the inmost portions of your heart. If you seek to do His Will (not claiming his is yours or some sick perversion otherwise) yet you truly seek to do His Will, this verse’s warning is not against you. Lest you fear the wicked and godless will win in the end, this is a strong reminder that the ruler of the created order, it is God alone.
