You don’t have to rig when your opponent is in on the game. Romney and McCain both rolled for him

McCain for sure, but I think Romney was genuinely shocked when the tide started to turn against him. I was watching. In retrospect he might have felt like he had it rigged for himself and was outcheated.
I doubt Romney ever intended to win. And if he had, we may have actually been worse off than we are now.
For sure. Obama accelerated the response. It would have been like masking a fatal disease with pain killers that allow things to keep metastasizing while you are distracted by the short term feel good.
