Ah, so this is why Musk bought Twitter and took the gloves off. IT'S PERSONAL.

Well, it is deep in the thread and it’s late at night too. But yeah, I don’t think the people who shit on Trump for Covid are correctly remembering where the world was at back then. Institutional trust was still super high. Covid changed so much. Even the red-pilled were red-pilled. For example, most red-pilled people back then thought peer review was biased, but very few thought they were outright forging studies. Now we know yep, they’re forging studies. Back then if you accused peer review journals of forging studies, almost nobody would have believed it. And that makes a difference in what strategic moves Trump could make. He was limited by the credulity of the people. He still is actually, which is why he hasn’t stated outright that 9/11 was an inside job. Too many people are not yet ready to accept that.
There was also the problem of pretty much every country going into lockdown at the same time. I believe the globalists did that intentionally to force Trump’s hand because they were worried he might be crazy enough to call the whole thing out as a hoax from day one. And they knew that most people - even on the right - would have panicked if every other country was saying this is a deadly plague and going into actual lockdown, and Trump is saying it’s all a hoax, go out and breathe air. People would have been terrified to trust him. And in an election year, he didn’t have two years to wait for the data to come in showing that flu cases disappeared and all-cause mortality didn’t change. Even WITH that data, I’m not sure what percentage of people would have accepted that Covid was a hoax, especially as it was happening. Even now how many people are willing to accept Covid was a hoax?
