The so called Spanish Flu occurred in 1918-1919, and was mostly a media driven event, and more than likely a post event rewrite. Sound familiar? Trump's: "We haven't seen anything like this since 1917" imo, is a reference to the Bolshevik takeover of Russia; also a post event rewrite.
