My immediate thought is that they have a NEGATIVE effect on the environment. We have all seen pictures of the mines for Litium and the fields of "bricked" electric vehicles. As for "climate", idk. How would one quantify that? It stands to reason that if they get their batteries charged from the same places that everyone else draws electricity from then the only place it makes a difference is with each ride NOT burning gas or diesel. That may be a measurable difference.
All said, I think Fitton is great and electric cars as we know them are not. Maybe Tom should clarifying his statement.
