Schizo is the reason as a coping mechanism for their shitty lives, thus splitting their personality.

daimon, in its original sense, is "deity, divine power; lesser god; guiding spirit, tutelary deity" (sometimes including souls of the dead); "one's genius, lot, or fortune;"

The negative connotation are due to the NT.

A positive connotation was introduced by the word: daemon as a computer program that runs as a background process.
