That’s been the theory for a while : Trump hypes a big announcement, media freaks out, it’s minor. It’s happened dozens of times. By doing basically nothing, Trump forces the deep state to spend money.
What’s interesting with this one is the sheer triviality of the announcement. Trump (and by extension his family) are billionaires. At best, they can make a couple hundred thousand by selling these cards. It trivializes and damages their brand name and basically gains nothing. So why do it?
Still not that much. And DJT's payment would be the one-off licensing deal, hence a lower sum. Kinda makes you wonder why a purported billionaire would go through with this.
Sorry if you don't actually find this interesting, but an update from some digging:
Furthermore, each time a Donald Trump Digital Trading Card is sold, the company pockets ten percent of the sale. At the time of writing, there has been an apparent 663 ETH worth of trading activity on Open Sea, one of the most popular NFT marketplaces. 663 ETH is equivalent to $846,000, meaning NFT INT LLC has made an additional $84,600 already, with trading ongoing and prices looking like they may rise.
Looks like it will continue to make money for the original company after all.
It sounds like you're really trying to make something fit a narrative you've already constructed

More than I thought it would be though.
Thanks for the update!

So you think this tactic, which is transparent to everyday users on this forum, is fooling the people that are secretly running the world?
NFT ventures with less clout have made a lot more money than that. We'll see if this turns into a rug-pull after all.
