Here is what I see.

People tried to donate with traditional mediums such as gofundme and givesendgo.

Those places as we saw in Canada can be de-banked and are not 100% trustworthy because government and the banks can just basically stop working for certain people due to 'reasons'.

Rather than just straight use crypto which is a boogieman right now with FTX - people are using NFT's which is just a fancy way to donate for digital assets using a way that cannot be stopped easily if they funnel the funds through various crypto assets.
