So, I have been sitting on some extra money from when my mother passed earlier this year and decided this would be a fun thing to spend it on that I know she'd have loved. So, I went to the site and picked up one of each 45. My plan was to get them professionally framed and hang them in her house, which we rent out now on AirBnB.
I went through the purchase process and after a couple hours I had gotten all of them in my email. I don't know if they're going to be sending larger quality images, but the ones I got were not good enough to print out, they were small and would get grainy quickly when I made them large enough to print (I wanted to print them at 8X10).
I emailed to ask about them and got a reply back that said they will be sending higher quality images in a few weeks, these are the previews that will be registered on the block chain - I'm not sure how that all works if anyone has any ideas.
Overall I'm happy with them. I got another email saying I'm invited to an event at Mar A Lago and they will be in touch about when the dates are and the info.
Did anyone else buy some? Which ones did you get?
EDIT: I just got an email from the graphic designer who made the images, he included all 45 very high res images and said these will print as large as I want them.
I'm so happy!
LEGEND!
Dude, you hold on to those tightly.
Do not type your 12 words to that wallet on your computer.
If I were you, I'd leave that wallet alone and make a new one for further purchases. Keep it as cold as you can for safety.
Also, do not click on any NFTs that other people send to that account. L1 can have bad contracts that could send all your NFTs away.
Read up on account security before ANYTHING else and if you end up buying a Ledger, ONLY buy from them, not amazon.
You can create different wallets like you can have folders in your filing cabinet. Keeping an important wallet/folder COLD (It's address never sees the internet) means less likely to be sent something or have people try and scam you.
Thanks for that lesson.
This is what I use to store my seed phrases, you ought to be able to find it or similar ones cheaper elsewhere. https://store.safepal.com/safepal-cypher-seed-board.html
This exactly. Get a Ledger or a Trezor (hardware wallets). I haven't done this because I don't own NFTs (but I do have a Trezor) - but - check out this article to see if it is something that can help you save these in a safe and secure way. If they are on a PC they can be taken... Article.
Anons - if anyone has done this please chime in. The OP will need help with this.
I don't own a Ledger (I have a Trezor) but supposedly the data on the wallets was safe. Article.
Maybe instead of acting like a fool you might just try something like "Hey I heard Ledger was hacked before so you might want to look into that". It's always a good idea to research that stuff anyway, and the point here is to make sure OP knows how to protect their investment/purchase - not scare them off.
