Im trying to explain to my wife there is no way some of these cereals she is buying for our kids, don't contain HFCS. But she showed me the box and it just says Fructose now. Or some others say "corn syrup". Can anyone tell me if these tricky bastards have just changed what they are calling it to confuse consumers? Links appreciated!!

Fructose is a fruit sugar. Problem with any fructose is, that only liver can process it, and thus, is actually processed similar to alcohol: high priority, anything unprocessed is toxic, triggers fatty liver (cirrhosis). With natural fruits, enough fiber to slow down the release; in fruit juices and at any level or subsequent evaporation -- toxicity kicks in.
Weaning off sugar is a hard process.
