"The past 2 years has forever altered my perception of Physicians. I don't believe I will ever really trust them again."
This was me in 2013-2014 after a quackjob pill peddler gave me medicine that caused me to bleed for two months to cure gout. Stopped seeing doctors, realized what was really causing the problem, fixed my diet, cured it without meds.
It's my responsibility to take care of my own body. Running to doctors for miracle cures while I keep doing things to harm myself is peak insanity.
Also realizing that when the body is fixing itself, it isn't always pleasant. Not trusting your body and running for meds for every small ailment was never the way to go.
My epiphany came when a doctor I had gone to (and trusted) for 25 years put me on a pill that had been around for decades and was considered "very safe and with very few, minor side effects." I developed at least 2 autoimmune diseases
and gallbladder problems from this "safe" drug. And those are just the permanent damages...there were a whole host of other bad side effects that thankfully went away as soon as I stopped the drug. It also destroyed my vision and I will have to have potentially very expensive eye surgery in order to get back to being able to do the things I used to do for a living. Covid was just the icing on the cake in fueling my mistrust.
Of course there is always more when it comes to the medical field. One thing that has surprised me is that there are a group of Australian Drs that run a group called low carb down under. One of the Drs had their license threatened for using low carb to treat diabetes. Insulin resistance is a top killer around the world. Your Dr will tell you to continue eating carbs deathly advice. You continue declining until you either die or get stuck in a nursing home.
Yeah, I think Drs still think the food pyramid is healthy advice. I've done very low carb off and on for a long time and I can tell you everything feels better when I'm low carb. All gastro problems go away and I have more energy. Every time I go off the low carb my blood pressure goes up too.
Yea that’s what I said. At first I thought my mom was alone in her retard thinking. Turns out I was the one with the minority thought. Many see medicine as the panacea for their bad lifestyle.

It's even worse than not being beneficial. The food pyramid if followed would cause diabetes, organ failure, and heart failure.
Lawsuit time..?
Unfortunately, I was given a generic version of the drug (since it has been around for so long), and they're immune from lawsuits.
I remember telling my mom she needs to cut out soda bc she’s diabetic. She told me that’s what the insulin is for. No joke.
wow

Awesome.
