The Florida 2023 legislative session, which runs from March 7th through May 5th, will be addressing Florida becoming a Constitutional Carry state. Indications are that this will pass and be enacted, as announced yesterday by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Sorry can someone explain the benefits? Does this mean you do not have to register your guns? Thanks trying to learn.
When you purchase a firearm from a dealer, I believe, they do a background check. (They submit it to the state, actually, that does the check to insure you're not a felon). You can use your firearm in your home and on your property (and I think in your car, not sure of Florida laws) and to go hunting, can take it with you to and from the shooting range. If, however, you want to (conceal) carry that firearm as you go for a walk, out shopping, etc, you need a conceal carry permit. For Constitutional Carry you no longer need to apply for and purchase a permit; you can keep your firearm with you on walks, etc. There are still restrictions such as schools and government buildings where you can't bring a firearm inside.

Thanks for link.
Means if I'm a lawful owner I can carry a firearm without having to pay money to ask permission for my right to carry a firearm. I've heard this enough though and I'm not holding my breath anymore.
Thank you.
