Very true except, why didn't Trump make a point of always mentioning that people should have the option to take it AND that the EUA rules state that people must be fully informed of the potential risk before they agree. I understand why Trump wanted to knee cap the left by getting the vax out but I think more could have been done to make people informed and limit some of the 24x7x365 media campaigns to push the vax with no mention of risk. We always see drugs advertised now followed by a long list of potential risks. None of that happened with the vax and people died and were injured as a result.
I'm not here to claim im in the mind of the people who made these decisions, i'm just throwing darts... but these are logical conclusions that we can all agree are most likely.
I can't explain to you the nuance of why trump didn't say more, perhaps his hands were tied with immediate removal if he stepped over any sort of line... perhaps he thought playing more to the middle would let him win re-election so he could go the fuck off on these commies with a 2nd term...
Perhaps he's an idiot who did the wrong thing...
Given what we know i seriously doubt the latter to be the case but nobody is perfect. Attributing nefarious intentions to his inaction isn't very productive to the overall goal here of trying to figure out their playbook and subvert it.
I'm not saying he did anything nefarious. I'm just curious about the whole vax rollout. If I had to posit a reason he didn't say more it was because Fauci gave him total assurance that the jabs were safe and effective. He probably figured, great because if they aren't it's Fauci's head everyone would be after.
