Abbott flexed on the shadow groups recently by publicly announcing his personal war at the border. I don't know what Abbott's got in terms of skeletons in his closet -- if any -- because sometimes he seems iffy, but then does something that shows he's taking his job at least halfway seriously.

Smoke and mirrors puppet show or not, I am hoping that Abbott's efforts are effective, because it's an unsustainable mess right now.
