I used to agree that it's selfish until it happened to someone in my life. Depression is despair with pain that is imaginable, escalating, endless and untenable. A person at that depth of being broken, in agonizing pain, 'rings the bell' to end the pain, never really being able to grasp at that second that it's life or death as they only seek to end the immersion into unbearable agony and anguish.
I was definitely harsh. I really didn't mean it. But, you know, that baby is going to blame himself for it. Naturally. I understand that death does not work for peace for a troubled person. Our physical bodies may die but our spirit transitions to the next life but thw spirit doesn't change because your body is dead. But I also believe that the Lord is massively merciful and that the person is loved and understood by him and they will not always be in agony through eternity.

I agree with that. :) I didn't take it as harsh as I always thought the same.
