A lot of conspiracy theory was wasted on the toilet paper shortage. The manufacturers were making the same amount but since people weren't going to the toilet at work while staying home the residential production was not enough while there was a huge surplus of commercial use toilet paper. Retooling the plants to make residential rolls was way too expensive for any of them to do.
All of the restaurants where I live were giving a free roll of toilet paper with every carry out food order.
Not quite. If businesses were 100% closed it would be believable, except this wasn't' the case by any means. Your statement about "manufacturers" making the "same amount" is a gross errant statement.
For example, Kimberly-Clark's profit was up 45 percent in the first three months ending in March of 2020. This is the same trend for all the Big Saw mill/ paper manufacturers. The Big Saw mills have become a cartel in many ways. The logging landowners, the loggers, log-truckers, and the retails did not profit off the toilet paper collusion. Only the Big saw mills/ paper manufacturers did. The rail companies were restricted from shipping raw lumber and the small saw mills were locked-down. Many witnesses reported lumber being stock-pile by the railroad companies to allow other supplies to be shipped.
It was all premeditated and a crime that needs to be prosecuted. We must seek the truth and do our research. We cannot be the following:
You linked an article that said exactly what I stated.
That's a good thing, no?! :)
