I put my own roof on 2 summers ago , I didn’t have the 15 grand. (Cheapest quote ) so I spent a few grand on material went up with a flat shuffle tore off old shingles and then laid the paper and shingles , I just refaced my fireplace about 6 months ago! I put up all nee ceiling fans last spring and actually 10 years ago I did my own floors laminate ,, it’s really not hard but this time I hired my guy to do my floors ( they were a light oak color I wanted darker and they were getting beat up and I didn’t have the time . I do my own easy plumbing , garbage disposal toilets etc , the neighbor guys laugh because I’m a tall thin blond and do not look like the type to swing on a ladder , but I do ! I love working on my home , im in Home Depot constantly , was there today , im replacing all the gold bedroom doorknobs to a rust color, that's my project tomorrow lol the money I save is rediculous!
