Because they put out press releases that it was an ELECTIVE blackout. It wasn't for a reason.

Yeah, scheduled outages are elective, absolutely. You just were not informed of the reason.

they were only 'scheduled' a few hours before they went into effect a 2 am. In fact the TVA spokesman had said on the 6 pm news that the system was good, no power outages expected or planned. Then at 2 am, other news went out. Something slippery went on and I am going FOIA NES and TVA for communications going back six months.
