He has two young daughters. At this time I dont know if foul play was involved but the story does seem odd.
He went duck hunting on one of the coldest windy days of the year... do ducks even present themselves in those conditions? The kayak apparently took on water when he was that far out and not while he was closer to the shore?? What could cause that? The "friend" said there was no distress calls....another oddity. Things just arent adding up and we are crushed here to think of his family.
My wife is very upset as this was a close high school friend who she used to ride motorcycles with. CP I pray that God works a miracle and you are found alive.
Thank you to anyone who reads this...you all are the only family I got.
God bless.
Edit: Update today they found his body with sonar. Wasnt wearing a lifejacket, so theres that too.
Thank you all for your support. Time to figure out how to help his two daughters.
Very sad to hear. The linked article mentions he was not alone:
"The men were in separate kayaks. The missing man's kayak appeared to be either riding low in the water or taking on water, the friend told authorities.
"He said his buddy never gave him a distress signal, but he noticed he was sitting down in the water," Woods said. "We have a last-known point they are kind of looking in.""
I'm sure the guy feels like shit and wished he checked on his friend. Sending prayers Fren.
Yea...this guy CP was loved by so many. A whole town is crushed right now. Thank you for the prayers
