Well, let's face it...even when we outlaw certain unethical practices...our government/scientists/researchers, etc. just go to other countries where the practice is legal. I think a lot of times these things pass to pacify the people and make it look like our government is ethical, but truth be told...they are the worst of the worst.
This didn't pass. It didn't even get past committee.
Well, it really doesn't matter since so much research, etc. is done outside of the country and its' laws...so I believe it is really irrelevant either way...I saw it didn't pass after I commented, but I have so little trust in anything that has any connection to our government...as I am sure is the prevailing sentiment.
I would like to know the reasoning for it not passing. I do believe it's relevant. While you are right that other countries might allow such atrocities, that doesn't mean we should go along to get along. The USA should take a stand. The reason this didn't pass may have nothing to do with our corrupt, useless, evil politicians viewing it as the evil it is, -- or it might. I'd like to know which way the wind was blowing.
You have a point in terms of relevancy...but, have you considered that this is already a thing and they did not make a law against it because they don't want to stop what is already going on.
