I saw an old picture recently, and in the background of what the subject was was a big billboard saying something about donating to cancer research or finding a cure. Way back in the 50's. They've been making money off the backs of dying cancer patients for over 70 years.
I remember in the very early 2000's (maybe about 2001 or 2002) when Susan G Komen runs were so big... "race for the cure!!!" I read about their structure, their CEO, how much people are paid, how much money they raise a year... and that's when I realized, there's money in them NOT finding a cure. There's jobs that will be lost. The CEO was making a crap ton of money (I don't remember how much) and she did not want to lose that! That's when I stopped supporting a "cure". They don't want to work themselves out of a job, just raise money to be paid. I would tell everyone that would listen.. "there's money in not finding a cure!!! Go look it up!" but they didn't care. They were happy paying their money, running a 5k, and wearing the shirt. Virtue signaling.
