The writing was on the wall as the clock ticked toward judgement day (Jan 1). Little time is left. I really don't understand it either.
What does the Brazilian military leadership expect when Lula takes power? They must know their positions are in great jeopardy. Recall the great purging of military brass in the US under the Obama administration? Recall they were interviewed and were asked if they would fire upon American citizens? Those that said they would not were relieved of the positions. The same process will happen in Brazil as well.
What will the Brazilian people do now? Their show of strength through tens of millions of them protesting for over two months is all for naught? What is the Brazilian military waiting for? I just don't understand the military's mindset here.
