I'm fairly certain a few years ago when Portland hit 120 degrees that they were moving moisture from that area to Canada in order to make it rain as they were in a critical drought. There is just no way it should have got that hot that close to the coast. Even one Canadian governor mentioned he was glad "they made it rain". It was an interesting comment the way he said it.

I also thought that recent snow storm last week was just such perfect timing to land right on the most busiest travel day of the year. It's late Dec and very well could happen, but I still thought it was interesting it landed on the worst day possible for travel.
