What I hope all patriots get from this is that when someone swears an oath to the Constitution, it's a big deal. And that person is expected to keep their oath, and if they choose not to, they have effectively 'vacated' their seat and need to go. If they don't go on their own, their constituents can have them removed.
It's been so long since these people have been held accountable that it's like nobody (citizens) even knows they are supposed to be and can be held accountable. It's not just for something as big as investigating an election. It's for any violation of their oath. How many current local, state, and federal politicians, LE, etc. would even still be in office if their constituents held them accountable? The constitution provides a way for so many things to be dealt with, but the people (the ones in 'we the people') need to know their Constitution so they can hold them accountable.
Too Iong have we expected the police to police when the power is with the people. To think the foundingfathers would have had it any other way is to be ignorant of the founding tenets that America was built upon.
What the people need now is to set the precedent with a great example of an infringement on the rights of a public servant's constituents or dereliction of duty. Sounds awfully like a certain event that happened at the capital. Rhymes with Ban You Carry Tricks.
