Er... after thinking about this a few more minutes I'm not finding this as a shocker or surprise. Met FEMA rank and file workers when a bunch of Hurricanes passed through Orlando 2004.They were KKK types Then looked at an apt. that a FEMA exec was renting out of his house. Dude bought a big house and made the back and one side into 7 1 bedroom Apts. He did excellent work. Of coarse he preferred cash, 800 a month. That's a tidy sum for apt. added on to your house that you are claiming as your homestead. He was a real prick to talk to and I ended up turning his ass in to the property appraiser...
Yeah, I dislike Income taxes but that doesn't stop me from tormenting the Liberals RE: How the digital currency is going to fug them. I doubt there are many tipped employees that claim all their tips, or slumlords wanting cash rent. And there are others...
I don't live in Florida now, but lived in poor areas most of my life there as an adult. The last place was in an area called Pine Hills, but its nickname was Crime Hills. I worked overnights, but it wasn't unusual to see the roads blocked off and the police helicopter over head. The condo complex had a real strict background check and the old people running the HOA were like the Gestapo, but it was actually a good thing. The complex was very well maintained and built very well. I bought a condo there for 25K, another for 11k (Sold it) and a third there to move back there for 18K
Before Condos I owned a house in Sanford Fla. of Zimmerman/ Martian fame, paid my 30 year loan in 16 then sold it off after 2 years to go condo. Prices are crazy in Orlando, but not as crazy as Nashville, we just rent

Note the name of the Complex, the golf coarse was built over 40 years ago. Notice no trash anywhere... https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/5505-Hernandes-Dr-Apt-237_Orlando_FL_32808_M67996-36385
