Look into direct access medical. Those docs don't accept any type of insurance. It's membership based. The monthly fee for me is $65/month. With no middle men the doc works directly for me. I like the concept. I believe that not only is big medicine corrupt but so is bid medical insurance....
As a Canadian (with socialized health care) I find this fascinating. Does the monthly fee cover all visits, so that they are incentivized to keep you healthy, or do you also pay per visit?
Yes it covers all visits to my doctor. In the annual agreement there's a list of the types of procedures he will/can do. Tests & medications are covered under my regular medicare insurance. About a year ago I asked him if he would write letters saying I couldn't wear a mask & shouldn't get the clot shot. He promptly wrote the letters. I also asked him to write a prescription for ivermectin which he also did. Some "visits' have been over the telephone which I like since it's about a 45 minutes drive to his office.
