I don't follow sports. Was he pronounced dead on the field ?

Sports follower here, he wasn’t pronounced dead but this has never happened before so he’s most likely dead.

Technically, no. He was not pronounced dead on the field. The medical team said he was not breathing, but had a pulse (when he was in the ambulance).
