I hope people are not asking someone's permission to speak truth to power or to the weak or to the ill-informed.

I hope being polite, "kind" or politically correct isn't more important than saying what is true.

I remember clearly the late '60s when politically correct first emerged. It fractured my group of friends and caused divorces and realignments.
