There are 20 holdouts now and for McCarthy to win, he would need to hold his present 202 and pick up 16 more. Considering who the holdouts are, that is not likely to happen. McCarthy will be made to see the light before tomorrow and either Jordon or Scalise will be nominated and elected by 222 votes.
That…Or a few shitty republicans will vote for Hakeem Jeffries and the republican house will have a democrat speaker which doesn’t at all seem like the craziest thing we’ve seen or will see.
I could be wrong, but I believe the requirement is a majority of members eligible to vote. Even if democrats boycott or vote present they would still be considered eligible to vote. In any event we will see tomorrow.
This is what we NEED more of in Washington.... https://twitter.com/i/status/1610387107322949632

One element you're ignoring: The numbers change if some Democrats don't show up tomorrow. McCarthy won't need 218 to reach a majority.

I live in Tenn which is a very Red state... Lee had over 70% for Governor, I won't vote in 24 unless its for Trump.
So as of right now the most likely speaker will be a fucking Democrat. Awesome.
McCarthy was offered support, but refused an offer reasonable agreements. He is a RINO another Democrat....
