I saw some worries (from Trump camp) that the dems might end up voting a speaker in somehow, does anyone know the mechanism behind that?

Or was that a 'be careful what you wish for' type of threat?

About that in particular? I do know that warroom evening edition interviewed Lauren Boebert and she said there were plenty of threats denying dissenters committee assignments by McCarthy.
