The most logical theory seems to be that because DJT is strongly supporting McCarthy, DEMS cannot endorse him and therefore he would never be able to get the required votes!

The most logical theory is that unless Trump can convince the Freedom caucus defectors to support KM, the Dems might be able to get their own choice of speaker installed.

So that if McCarthy goes down, both the Dems and the rinos can pronounce it as a huge loss for Trump? I don't think that's part of the plan.
